Samhain marks Summer’s End and the threshold into the dark half of the year. It is a time of remembrance and release, but also a turning toward what comes next.

These 15 Grimoire pages offer a grounded, adaptable Samhain observance that begins with honoring those who have passed and ends by welcoming the New Year. The ritual moves through remembrance, a journey to the Veil, releasing the old year, protection for the dark half, wishes for the future, apple and seed work, divination, and finally a return to the living and celebration.

Ancestor work is approached as relationship rather than obligation. Honor the ancestors and beloved dead you choose, include friends or animal companions, or leave this portion out entirely. No part of the observance is mandatory.

Individual ritual sections are presented on separate pages, allowing you to choose the portions that belong to your practice while maintaining the natural flow of the ritual. A separate section offers guidance for expanding the observance into group or circle work.

Rooted in the season rather than Halloween imagery, the pages draw upon the retiring land, final harvest, apples and seeds, remembrance, protection, and the turning year.
